Salone Nautico Genova 2012

Posted on: October 17th, 2012

We have visited Genova  Boat Show last Thursday and saw some very interesting boats!

Genova is a historical port city in northern Italy, the capital of the Region of Liguria. Genoa today, as a tourist attraction, is often shadowed by cities such as Rome or Venice, even though it has a long history as a rich and powerful trade centre.

The show, which was first launched in 1962, is one of the leading shows worldwide in the field of pleasure boating thanks to an extraordinary exhibiting area: 100,000 square meters of water basin surface and more than 200,000 square meters of pavilions and outdoor areas just next to the main entrance of Genoa’s harbour.

Some insiders commented that this year’s show (same as a couple of previous shows) was only a half of what it used to be unfortunately. Hard times for pleasure boating continue as it seems..

Still the industry somehow continues to develop better boats and we were astonished by some boat-builders!

Check this…

Let’s now move to more accessible yachts : )

We like new Dufour 500 (above) and it’s great interior layout with galley in the front of the salon… it looks very good and it seems like a very practical solution.

We also like the new Hanse 575 – this huge boat is a true brand flagship.. it really has sleek lines!

We always like Lagoon catamarans – especially their most popular 450 model..

Ok, this was it from this season’s Genova Boat Show.

You can always contact our office to check the prices of any new boats you might like.

Cheers!
